Double Winners 2024/25 – What a Season!

Wow – what a season!
The past few weeks have been intense, with so many decisive matches and important wins. Our victories against Eintracht Frankfurt and VfL Wolfsburg really laid the foundation for us to win the German Championship. And after beating SC Freiburg, it became official: We are German champions! 🏆

This was my fourth league title, and once again, it felt incredibly special. As a team, we kept improving throughout the season – and especially in the second half, we showed an impressive level of consistency. That’s something we can all be truly proud of!

Just a few days after the match against Freiburg, the next highlight was already waiting: the DFB Cup Final against SV Werder Bremen. A strong opponent, an amazing atmosphere in Cologne, and a match that was so much fun to play – topped off with a 4:2 win! It was my first DFB Cup title and also the first double in the club’s history. A very special moment.

Our road to the final wasn’t easy – with tough matches against Freiburg, Frankfurt, and Hoffenheim – but that made the title feel even more deserved.

This season was intense and emotional, shaped by a truly special team spirit that made our success possible. And with this double win, we were also able to give our coach a very fitting farewell.

Now, I’m looking forward to the upcoming European Championship in Switzerland – full of energy, excitement, and with so many great memories from this unforgettable season.
